RT International
Guess there's little point continuing to produce a channel when there's nowhere left broadcasting it.

Well, I think Dish are still showing it, but I think they're the only one (certainly DirectTV, Roku and YouTube have got rid, and presumably some others too) and it would presumably only have been a matter of time until they got rid of it too, then they'd only be broadcasting to themselves, so they know it's pointless to keep going.

I doubt there's any chance of RT ever coming back in any western country now bar some major regime change.

Perhaps this is all so unprecedented it'll take a while to work through all the legalities and appropriate bureaucratic processes?

I suspect the capacity that 113 on Com7 took up will just remain vacant with that DTT Mux due to close in June/July this year. At least it's one less channel to house on other Muxs.

234 on Com6 would seem a decent slot for NewsUK's new channel to grab for their upcoming launch?

It looks like Daniel Hawkins and Rory Suchet have now both left the international English language service as well. Clear to see RT is effectively shutting down. I watched last week and RT America was being used as a sustainer service in the evenings on RT English, clearly to cover staff shortages.

Does anyone on the forum have an ability to watch the channel? Im curious to see who on earth is actually still working for them!
No bulletin at 11pm, RT have a repeat of Lavrov's presser from earlier.

Kevin Owen also resigned out of principle the other day too. I wonder where he'll end up? He was probably one of the more recognisable faces on RT International from his time at HTV and Sky News.

If you feel so inclined, it's still broadcasting at rt.com

And that's if you can access the website.
The website is still streaming as of last night. When you first click on the watch live it defaults to the YouTube stream which is blocked in the U.K. but there is a RT stream you can click on. I am keeping an eye on it to see what happens. It takes a while to get past the DoS guard.

I can still get RT on my Fire Stick (the UK, US, global, French, German, Spanish, and Arabic versions) if that's any help. There is a separate app you can find by searching for "RT" or "Russia Today".

I remember Kevin from Channel TV. In the early noughties, I fell in love a bit with the Channel Islands (even though I've never been) and the idea of living there. There's something quite charming and sexy in islands as small as those being independent countries (to a fashion, I know they are Crown Dependencies).

I thought he was a consummate pro on Channel and on RT.

For Kevin and the other journos involved (particularly Afshin Rattansi whose work I have always liked), I hope their stint at RT doesn't count against them in their future careers. It's not as if they ordered the invasion of Ukraine personally.

Anyone who went to work for RT knew what they were getting into and as such have likely ended their employability by any credible news broadcaster.
Looks like the next RT news bulletin is at 1pm. The schedule until then is propaganda docs.

Speaking of propaganda, its quite hilarious that RT is tagging this video as "Unverified Video", despite the fact that the CCTV video came from Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant themselves.

From what I see on their YouTube streams, which is accessible here in Asia, RT International, RT America and RT UK seems to be operating on a unified schedule.
RT Russia editor-in-chief Maria Baronova resigned over Ukraine

I can't actually find anything which states she was editor-in-chief but she certainly did work for RT.
Another update - RT blocked on Facebook and Instagram in the UK.

RT America has ceased transmission with all staff informed on Thursday.
