No change on Breakfast, old blocks on the titles and on screen graphics.

I think we knew there wouldn’t be any change on news though.

I think if there are any changes to Breakfast, we'll see them tomorrow morning. When the Reith graphics launched it was at 9am on the NC.

Isn't that a new background for a signed broadcast though? I think it used to be plain white and now there are lines clearly going through it.

BBC Newsline still have the old blocks on the astons and the DOG

I believe that's been the same since July 2019 (when it was Reithed). Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
They're both women and that trumps regionality; ITV guidelines

BBC News Channel from 9am still has the same look. Not a new logo or icon anywhere to be seen.

Quite jarring this morning with BBC One using the new logo going into Breakfast which is still using the old logo.

Well this is quite a major failure isn't it? You'd think they'd have at least made sure all of the domestic channels had the new logo.

We’ve gone from a complete new look, to the old look with the new logo/device incorporated, to maybe the old look with just the blocks swapped out, to the old look entirely unchanged!

Well this thread might as well be closed then. Ridiculous to not at least switch the logo and considering how often BBC News appears on BBC1/2 it compromises what the whole rebrand is trying to achieve.

Unfortunately all but the last were invented by enthusiastic forum members!

You’d think they could have changed the blocks over, they did this in 1997

Maybe back then the BBC News should have kept with the slanted blocks until the 1999 relaunch?

Understandable there is a phased rebrand but BBC News undoubtedly should have been in the first phase - it's on BBC1 for around 10 hours a day, BBC2 for up to 4 hours a day and probably the most prominent customer facing brand with the logo appearing throughout, rather than just for a couple of minutes between the programmes.

They have seemlessly changed the logo before overnight, as well as fonts and graphics etc., so updating the logo this time around shouldn't have been an issue at all - even across the regions to be honest, but certainly for the news channel and BBC1/2 news programming.

I don't understand why it's being done in phases at all, it would have such a bigger impact if everything changed at once
