Done the survey just now.
Focused on how recognisable the BBC News app icon was on Google and the BBC's homepage, and then there was a short mock promo featuring aspects of the BBC Two and BBC News aesthetics (BBC Two is, as others have said, largely unchanged). Can't say it looked particularly strong to me - the promo felt very slapped on, as did the screenshot of the BBC Food website next to the new design - but then these are mock-ups of a work in progress.
The main issue is everything is just too small - the letters in the logo, the icons for each service - but I can see people getting used to it.

This issue with three lines, or three blocks, is that it doesn’t fit in a square/circle very well. So it’s rubbish for favicons and avatars.
I got the survey off Swagbucks and saw the new logos and how BBC TWO fits in with the new BBC logo, I looked on the BBC kids website in Australia and the BBC logo gets lost completely when the logo is very small but it has definitely grown on me. I had a feeling that the new BBC on the BBC select logo was a sign of things to come and once I saw it animated it sort of clicked in place, I really like it now, but as soon as I saw the new select logo, I thought they had lifted it from a mock online.
One part of the survey was for me to find BBC sport on the website but I couldn't because they just had icons and it wasn't clear. They showed me the correct icon but I had no idea, I'm not a sporting man so I don't know if that is why but I knew instantly the new iplayer logo. I think when everything comes together it will all make sense, and I hope to God they give oneness the dignified send off it deserves!
I love all of it (it puts the BBC into the 2020s rather than being stuck in 2001) but I don't think it goes together with the BBC TWO idents at all. It clashes.

Taken a look - the idea is far too clever for it's own good. Whilst I quite like the idea of symbols being used instead of logos spelling out the service it just does not work here at all - "extremely unclear" is my answer to most questions and frankly it looks more like symbols for accounting software than the BBC. I think the main issue is they need too many variations of the same idea - if it was just for three or four things it might work, but for a whole banner of icons it's a non-starter. They replace things which clearly spell out what each service is with something which looks more like a cryptic picture clue. Is the blue one supposed to be Weather and the purple one either CBBC or CBeebies then?
The adapted BBC Two idents looks shockingly bad - terrible. Was wondering how they might screw that up and if they go ahead with this they'll exceed expectations. I do like the idea of the opening sting though pushing the BBC brand, but it needs to be executed far better. BBC News worked better, but not as a DOG and though the logo with "BBC News" isn't great it is far better than the block motif that it quickly disappeared to reveal.
Seems to be a lot more work to be done here.

Just signed up to do the survey - Really like where this is going and well overdue to bring some unity to the website, idents and the BBC as a whole. Some of the iconography could be improved upon but they're onto something.
also just done the survey, focusing on the BBC I player and weather icon ( all made out of 3 blocks). i can't say they are very clear, but the overall presentation looks a lot more slick than we are used to.
Has anyone suggested streamlining channel names to B1, etc?
