NWT won’t make it on air until much later if this football much runs over so I’d hazard a guess you’re spot on.

It'll be interesting to see how Newsnight try to make the breakfast studio look half-decent

They could’ve at least dressed the couch in Newsnight teal or pink…

Like they do in 54D? With a terribly creased sack? No thanks, looks terrible.

You'd have thought with all the technology around today you'd be able to recolour a sofa in other ways than putting an ill-fitting bag over it.

That’s no way to talk about Kirsty Wark

I’m sorry but, the BBC Breakfast/NWT studio is god awful. Almost ten years of a low ceiling and ugly panels.

Looks terrible with the red sofa.

And not totally from Salford - Nick Watt still in NBH.

What a waste of time going to Salford. It was no big deal for Breakfast to set up in the newsroom a couple of weekends ago to accommodate a few more guests, plus at this time of night, the newsroom would hardly be packed with staff.

A wasted opportunity unlike the efforts made in Scotland and Wales.

Nil point!

Would definitely benefit from a more curved set to fit in with NBH. Also adding purple covers or similar over the red sofa would help make it feel a bit different to Breakfast.

It's just being done for the wrong reasons and we and they all know it.

This certainly isn't the most successful example of Newsnight's "Summer of sofa surfing" around the UK. :o

Faisal Islam will probably be looking for a Chiropractor tomorrow after contorting his body for 30 minutes to interview people on screens behind him. Sad

That set has always been so poor for down the line interviews. Would probably work better if they could take the sofa out and put some chairs in so the host has a bit of swivel to work with.
