Incident Outside US Capitol

Looks like there is a security incident outside the capitol with a car ramming into US police officers. CNN and Sky News on breaking news mode at the moment.

CNN has Erica Hill presenting at the moment.

BBC News staying with breaking news coverage instead of going to Sportsday.

NBC News have started a special report in the last few minutes with Kristen Welker and ABC News has done the same with Diane Macedo - both also airing on their streaming networks. No special report from CBS News as of yet.

Hopefully this is OK in this thread. On BBC News at Ten just now - it looked like a Sky News logo had been blurred out on a microphone muff, during coverage of the Capitol incident. Odd, since the same footage appeared unblurred during the TOTH headlines...?

I don't think they were purposely blurring the Sky News (Arabia) logo, the blur stayed on screen for the majority of the report

Fair point - I'd overlooked that, but yes, the blur seemed to stay in place for the following few shots, even though there was nothing obvious they'd want to blur out. Odd!
