Agreed. Personally I found the scaffolding round Big Ben pretty distracting - I wonder if the Westminster background will return when those works are finished.

That little set is horrible regardless of what graphics are thrown on those screens. Would rather have them present it from that hallway seen in that video where there’s more elements to it atleast.

One thing that winds me up about the new intro is how prominent the title card for "Sky News Daily with Dermot Murnaghan" is. Obviously trying to push that they do podcasts but the way it's used suggests it might be the title of the upcoming programme.

At long last, we get to hear an alternate version of Sky News headline bed through the international weather filler, which could be heard as of 8:30am GMT.

It is still not available yet in the COVID-19 and climate change data livestreams.

Interested to see what your take on this is. For me, it's basically an instrumental version of the most recent bed (2015-present).

The headline bed is different to the weather bed which you have linked.

Presumably Sky Sports News will get a similar look for its lower thirds, ticker, etc? Maybe when the new EPL season begins in August?

Apologies for being a little bit off-topic, but if relaunch is to occur they may as well do so over this weekend since... well, Euro.

And based on everything that we've observed about Sky News' new graphics, I imagined this is what SSN will look like in that case...

Important note: there's less incentive about viewability on devices, since it's only available on Sky Go, unlike Sky News, so I doubt the scrolling ticker will be as big.




The one below is for Soccer Saturday/Sunday, but if all goes to plan, you could see it on Euro Matchday.
