To me, it seems like they kept the feed up to gain clicks and views online.

Well quite, and although the individual who was aggressive off camera didn’t seem to know who Dorries actually was, it could have become quite a frightening situation, especially as clearly there wasn’t any security nearby. 

They even dropped Kay’s shot to get the incident full screen! 

Deeply inappropriate, and a good lesson on why prioritising going viral over editorial judgement rarely ends well.

I kept expecting Kay's voice to come in with a breezy "well, evidently, we're having issues down there with Nadine so we'll just come away from that for now..." and go into some other news, but it just didn't come... for a whole minute...

Clearly they wanted a viral moment. The man starting to have a go at Nadine for example which social media would have dined out on. Poor editorial decision.

If they receive an OFCOM complaint I’m not sure they’d have a leg to stand on, as they would have pulled away if it had been a down the line with a reporter but because it was with Nadine they lost all sense of perspective
