I haven't heard anything about that
Yes. It will celebrate 20 years on 16 August this year, giving that its founding in 2002.

Just spotted this Tweet from Radio Leeds featuring the new logo on their branding in the background of the video. Is this the first glimpse of a new local radio logo in use we’ve seen?

The first time was actually the Radio WM logo on a presenter's mic muff.

Ah yes, I forgot about that muff. Maybe Leeds is the first use ‘in the wild’.

BBC Radio Sheffield had a newly logo'd flags, gazebo, and deckchairs during their Easter hunt on the streets.

Really pleased that our license fee is being spent on stuff like this.

Interesting Radio 1 currently have a competition where you have to listen for a password and phone in to win tickets but interestingly it can only be heard if you're listening on BBC Sounds, and only if you're listening live. I guess then Sounds isn't a straight simulcast of the main FM feed.

They managed to split the feeds during an England v Scotland football match last year - I think FM and Sounds got an England orientated show, DAB and Radio 1 Dance got a Scotland one (or some combination of those four!).

Looks like the new radio station logos are currently back on https://www.test.bbc.co.uk/sounds/stations, along with a new version of the master head.

Would be nice if the Sounds website would add a 'Stations' link at the top, next to 'Music' and 'Podcasts'. Similarly a link to access the schedules on the Connected TV version of the Sounds app wouldn't go amiss as it's currently difficult to catch up on recent radio programmes.

Very nice, I've also noticed the station names have been updated on the public site with 'Radio 5 Sports Extra', 'Radio 5 Live' (with L in caps) and 'Radio 1 Relax (with R in caps) the ones I've spotted.

The test site also now has new white on orange logos during playback. Local Radio and CBeebies Radio however are not currently working.

Yes, that's correct. Danny Howard was on FM and Radio 1 (Sounds) with England dance anthems, Arielle Free on DAB and Radio 1 Dance (Sounds) with Scottish.

It’s very much standard practice for radio stations to have the ability to split what goes out online from the main station output. This is especially true when sports rights don’t allow for online broadcast - although more often it’s a looped message put out online in these instances rather than alternative programming.

This is something I have always wondered, why can't they air some music online instead of that annoying looped message?
