When you converted your v6 into a 360, it stopped being a V6 :-) VM boxes that run TiVo software - the TiVo & V6, were unaffected by these changes. VM boxes that run V360 software - i.e. the 360 - were affected by these changes. Plans for BBC One HD - London Lite - 25-01-2022 RXTV reports that the BBC One HD regional switch for Virgin customers is tomorrow, so they'll be the first linear platform to receive the HD regions after Sky Glass. https://rxtvinfo.com/2022/regional-bbc-one-hd-service-arrives-on-virgin-media Plans for BBC One HD - Inspector Sands - 26-01-2022 Plans for BBC One HD - VMPhil - 26-01-2022 Yes the EPG was showing regional news on BBC One HD from today, and indeed has now moved to 101 and 108 has disappeared (surprised they wouldn't leave a barker channel there for a bit as they often do when a channel closes). All my series links that were on 108 BBC One HD are fine and have moved over. Highly amused that the TiVo system is superior in this aspect to the supposedly newer and better platform. You'll take the peanut remote from my cold dead hands. OT but if it was Horizon you had been saddled with, you’d have been begging VM to take it away post haste! Highly amused that the TiVo system is superior in this aspect to the supposedly newer and better platform. You'll take the peanut remote from my cold dead hands. The TiVo software appears to have handled the change very well as series links I had on both the HD and SD versions of BBC One have both migrated to the new regional HD version of BBC One without me having to do anything. Although I think that there could be a few confused people with TiVo or V6 boxes today who had no notice o the change and may think that they have lost BBC One HD as there is nothing on channel 108. My local news looked reasonably good when upscaled to HD during the regional opt on Breakfast. Although I think there might be a minor lip sync issue with the channel at the moment. Plans for BBC One HD - m_in_m - 26-01-2022 This maybe a silly question but are there any regions that Virgin don't have customers in? Wonder if they've fixed the bug or if they simply didn't care about the first one? I think every other region is covered by a cable network in at least one town/city. Plans for BBC One HD - James2001 - 26-01-2022 STV North covers Dundee- and Virgin most certainly do cover there at least which I can say from personal experience! Find it hard to believe they aren't in most of the other major towns and cities in the area too. Plans for BBC One HD - Pete - 26-01-2022 Virgin have a significant presence in Dundee and I believe also Inverness. Aberdeen however doesn't have it despite being larger than Dundee. Border Scotland doesn't have coverage, but Border England does as Carlisle has Virgin. Plans for BBC One HD - CCFG - 26-01-2022 Impeccable timing here as I just joined Virgin on their Broadband & TV package. But I am a bit not sure which regions are native HD, and which are upscaled. I think only it's London, Salford (North West) and Plymouth (South West) that are native at the moment? Feel free to correct me if there's more, or there are wrong regions. The Cambridge sub-opt of the BBC East region should also be native HD during the 6.30 and 10.25 weekday bulletins. |
