Tbf, it’s about one time in 100 you get a massive breaking story during the 6 o clock news slot. Just an unfortunate turn of events for the BBC (though not as unfortunate as for Boris…)

I think it’s being flexible. I switched back to the news channel when I got a notification about Sajid Javid but it seemed clear that there were no particular rumours to this effect. They didn’t know what was going to happen but could adjust their plans when it did.

Everything up until News at Ten has been pushed forward 15 minutes. This means Who Do You Think You Are will be 45 minutes. This is from what I can gather from the Freeview EPG right now.

In the long history of funny scheduling during Wimbledon - BBC One idents appearing on BBC Two, regional news on Two with only regions that haven’t gone digital able to opt etc, tonight’s will be another one that goes down in TV Live Forum folklore.

There is going to be a lot of schedule changes tonight, espically with the Norrie game going to a deciding set.

Who do you think…. Has now been replaced by The Repair Shop, presumably as it exists in all kinds of reduced length versions

They'd have been better having the 6 at 6.30. As it is they are now 15 mins behind schedule and will presumably want to make that up before the 10.

They might however want to drop another news bulletin in later if there are more resignations so it could sort itself.

Everything been pushed forward 30 mins. Regions now have their slot at 19:00 with The One Show starting at 19:30. The Repair Shop has been placed between the Freddie Flintoff show and the News at Ten.

Yes, settling down on the scheduling front for tonight anyway (famous last words).
Also, watching the Norrie game and Andrew Cotter has been excellent on this game.
