They've re-uploaded the video previously mentioned and whilst they have still copied the parts of the original uploader's video (see the 2015-2021 quality), they've made more of an effort to hide the copy:

Two intros from the early days of the CBBC Channel - I think these spin-offs were used to stretch it out to 5 days a week. Both take the ship and morph it into other types of transport.

Blue Peter Unleashed - which is all the weaker for not using the theme:

I don’t think this as big a deal/as interesting as you think. Ultimately, they own the copyright, it’s their show – and in reality it’s probably one individual who works for the show throwing together some content.
It’s not the same video. Most of the clips from 1989 onward have been replaced, most look to be broadcast quality and where applicable widescreen (though something very weird is going on at the start of the 1989 sequence). So they’ve done what they should have done in the first place essentially. There’s no question that it’s their material and ultimately they can do what they want with it, you just expect a bit better from the official channel than regurgitating someone else’s video. It’s hardly in the spirit of the show.

"Here's one someone else made earlier(!)"

These were additional spin-offs to the 5 days a week era that were shown in either early morning or lunchtime slots. There was also Re-Peter as well which was essentially the best bits of all the shows that week.

From memory of reading Richard Marson's Blue Peter diaries book, the 5 days a week era only lasted about 18 months (possibly even less), and the schedule was something like this: Monday and Fridays were simulcast on BBC 1/CBBC channel. Tuesday was a CBBC exclusive which was then shown on Wednesday on BBC 1, with the CBBC show being a pre-record (usually of location films like the Summer trip etc) and the Thursday live show being a CBBC exclusive.
The 2011 theme tune was used to close Thursday’s show. :?

Perhaps someone saw my mock and saw that it fitted better than the new theme?
This may have already been spotted, but it seems the composers have put the full theme, with pre-titles, on YouTube

Lindsey has announced she is leaving Blue Peter after an amazing 8 years.

Needless to say she will be missed incredibly. A huge part of the team, I hope this is only the start for her.
A shame to see that Lindsey's going, she was a strong member of the team. I was hoping she might try and beat Konnie's record but doesn't look like that'll be the case.

Based on the YouTube video it sounds like she's only got another 3 weeks left on the show with her last show being July 15th. I thought "later in the summer' would be end of August/beginning of September. What with the new titles launching the other week, all seems odd timing.

With respect, that is later in the summer, and as neat as it might be I don't think she would base her employment on what shape the logo is this week.
current logo isn't great, but the one it replaced wasn't that good either.
So where do we think Lindsey will head in terms of presenting? Follow previous BP presenters into sport or Countryfile, perhaps a gameshow or not appear on tv again aside from BP reunions?
Whilst she has no doubt improved considerably over the years I did think she had a poor start and bringing Radzi soon after she started suggested they had concerns, but that partnership clearly benefitted both of them, but Lindsey still hasn't got the profile outside the show some others have and hence an obvious direction to go in. The way TV works now an eight week stint on Strictly would probably do more for her career than eight years on Blue Peter.
