Since the name is Irish...
Starting off with the news announced last week that
Sarah McInerneyand
Fran McNulty are joining Miriam O'Callaghan as presenters of RTÉ Prime Time. Sarah in particular is a popular choice, after her highly praised summer presenting RTÉ Radio 1's "Today" programme. Also worth noting a new look and studio will be introduced with the new presenting line up next week.

NEW LOOK PRIME TIME
Some screengrabs from a clip shared on RTÉ One's social media.
It appears the new studio is the large video wall studio used by a number of RTÉ productions recently including Prime Time during the early stages of the pandemic - though a few customisations appear to be in place. New desks, screens etc. Looking forward to seeing it on TV, but this preview doesn't fill me with confidence. The Prime Time theme tune and studio have been strong since 2013. From the preview alone, it feels like a bit of a downgrade but will reserve full opinion until later.

Not liking that new logo. It really doesn’t give the “hard hitting news programme” feel. More like a DIY show.
Here’s an RTÉ News article about the revamp:

Also seems there’ll be a new arrangement of the theme. Incredibly it’s been practically the same for over twenty years, since they abandoned the original “It’s Thursday, it’s Prime Time” stranded approach and became Today Tonight Mk II instead.

I'm guessing that Studio 5 is using the new look Prime Time from tonight. I am not sure if this new studio arrangement will be permanent for Prime Time as I didn't realize this as the Champions League match coverage between Real Madrid vs Liverpool on RTÉ2 is not from there tonight. I guess this was preplanned by RTÉ by the looks of things.
Studio 5 is its new permanent home.
The set though, looks like someone is using a gigantic dolls house as a backdrop. Truly they let the designers run riot with the “futuristic” stuff in this revamp.
The music...it’s a very heavy re-arrangement of the previous theme. Unlike the 2013 rearrangement which is very similar to the previous one, this one is very different.
I’ve noticed Clare Byrne is at 9:35 tonight?. isn’t usually 10:35?
Yep. Her programme is sometimes moved to 9.35 if there is a major news event happening or she is discussing something really important like the United Ireland debate a few weeks ago. It’s also moved forward if RTÉ have nothing new ready to air in the 9.35 slot as is the case tonight. A repeat of Dermot Bannon’s Incredible Homes is airing at 10.35 tonight.
Thanks mate. I quite like Dermot Bannon. like a Irish Kevin McLeod
RTÉ News now have a wider grey coloured label with black typography placed on their Windows Surface devices for their news bulletins.
news2day has a new look mixed in VR/AR Graphics being included coming from Studio 3. It's theme music has remained unchanged.
When did it relaunch on RTÉ2?
A few months ago. I like news2day, although they should’ve kept the rte news on 2
RTE News at One is 15 minutes rather than 30?
