Something's missing at the start of the BBC Weather forecast on One, 11/6/2022 (at 2:30 of the video).
Possibly some technical glitches, but as app icons are making their way on screens, what is supposed to be in the blank is anyone's guess. Maybe they're going for something like this?
Or with the icon instead?

I suspected the first choice. New logo (with new BBC Blocks logo and WEATHER in Reith Bold font) can easily replace old one (with old BBC Gill Sans logo), giving that the Weather icon only used for mobile app purpose for time being, unlike iPlayer and Sounds. BBC Weather is one of few services that doesn't yet implementing chameleon branding until now, even when BBC News changed its logo on 25th April.
I can see them doing an animation from the symbol to the BBC blocks

I reckon it'd be nice to have an intro similar to
the radio stations, but judging by the way Sounds and iPlayer went, I think it'd be more subtle than that.
it does not have "supplied by meteogroup" or to that effect

I'm sure the MeteoGroup reference is only shown at the end.

As this screengrab taken from the latest bulletin on the BBC Weather website shows. The mention of MeteoGroup is indeed at the end of the update.

Barbecue weather in Switzerland...

The Swiss forecast reminds me when Léman Bleu made the weather presenter wear ski gear during the season for the ski forecast part of the bulletin.
Strange going-ons with the weather today on the News Channel. We've had Carol Kirkwood pre-recs all day long, even now at 4pm. However, the live weather during the One was with Darren Bett. Some play-out issues? Definitely not the norm.

Interestingly, the Carol recordings this afternoon have all started with the weather graphics from "Tuesday 17:00" so does look like they are intended as afternoon forecasts. That said, the 4pm effort was very generic Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday without a time-lapse forecast at all.
Annual staff day or something? Maybe just sickness and holidays. There *are* a lot of outlets to cover!
That triangle of the sea that has no forecast looks ridiculous on the new big screen in Studio B
Do you think it’s the BBC not buying the forecast for that area, or meteogroup not forecasting it?
They could just make it up, nobody would be any wiser!
The weather just then on the News Channel was with Owain seemingly from the Breakfast studio in Salford. Is this normal?

It is unusual but not exceptional for the Breakfast weather presenter to be in the studio. Carol and Matt do appear from time to time. Owain clearly presents from the studio because he is based on that area but has generally presented weekend forecasts for Breakfast. I think Owain may have been covering for Matt (COVID) and so presumably covered the entire shift including post breakfast. When Simon King presented news channel forecasts this was from the NWT Breakfast studio I think but that isn't currently an option.
