I take it Sharp End was going to squeeze into the filler slot where Heathrow: Britain's Busiest Airport was scheduled?

I'd imagine it was always scheduled post-News at Ten. Usually airs on Mondays but Peston was moved from Wednesday.

Looking at tv listings for next week Coast and Country is scheduled for ITV Wales on Friday at 7pm. How is this going to work with the extended Evening News, are the nations going to opt out of the second half of the news on Fridays (apologies if I've missed this on the main thread about the changes)

Unless it's a scheduling error which has yet to be corrected, it looks like there will be an opt out in some nations as ITV Ulster has UTV Life in that very same slot.

It could explain how they are going to schedule the regional shows for the nations, most of which on ITV Wales were in some of the slots between the 2 Corrie's or on a Thursday between Emmerdale.

I think someone said the weather will remain in roughly the same slot so guess that'll be the opt out point. Of course though the bulletins in the short term will likely be quite different to what was planned.

It looks like its been confirmed that 7pm Fridays will be an opt out for Wales and the other nations. Good news IMO. I cant help wondering if something more news/current affairs would be better giving its in the news slot. Wales This Week would have been perfect.

Ive been impressed with BBC Wales coverage of the Covid press conferences over the last 2 years. As well as them being broadcast live on BBC Wales there have been interviews and analysis before and after as well. ITV Wales do a good job covering the details in their 6pm bulletin but they only get a brief mention at lunchtime usually.

Interesting to see public tours of BBC Wales be restarted when the England tours were supposedly stopped on security grounds.

Cari Davies joins ITV Wales from West Country.

Would anyone know if this came from Salford or from Central Square. I've never seen that desk before and the background is most definitely like that of Central Square. Even the stairs we see on air on Wales Today when they are live from the Newsroom.
