Any impact at RedBee? I'm not familiar enough with the local geography to know if the Broadcast Centre would be in the cordon
I believe threats are fairly common but unusual to evacuate.

Ratings haven't been great past few weeks so this generates numerous social media mentions and articles.

So nice of the MET to deploy so many police officers and TFL to close transport hubs so Loose Women can raise the number of likes they get. :x

It's quite a way up the road from TVC and the tube stations, and set back from the road. So they might not be in the cordon, but then it depends what the threat is

Well we don't know if the police asked them to evacuate. If they havent been asked to evacuate then they could have carried on.

Or they unilaterally opted to evacuate ? Any building is free to evacuate itself, even if the 'authorities' don't mandate it
Incident appears to have been 'stood down' shortly before 12:49, according to the Met's spokesperson.

Apologies if this has been mentioned, looks like the pre-recorded tag no longer on-screen.

Yes and my point being the ITV arm went for it to push ratings. Youd be safer inside than out.
"Watch our live programme! It got taken off the air recently because of a security incident outside and we evacuated when we didn't need to hehehe"

Back to the pres, bit of a shame there was no CA or anything on screen indicating what happened, although not that surprising given there's no CA on the mornings (and apparently the daytime CA are pre-recorded, not sure how true that is though) - was there anything on STV?

I despair sometimes. Nobody at ITV will be thinking of the ratings when calls like this are made. Indeed it won't have been ITV who made the decision, it'll be the building management or the police.
After the Real IRA incident in the news centre, the BBC installed Internal Shelter Areas in various buildings due to that very point about being safer inside than out

That's quite enough thank you. You can keep that kind of comment to yourself.
