Appears they’ve adopted the GMTV-esque style of having most bits double-headed but also segments with a single presenter; Eamonn did the first paper review on his own whilst Isabel is now doing a story about hospitality on her own.

Hats off to them. It’s really good. I like the on screen look and it feels very fresh. Isabel is an absolute pro! The difference between this show and the one that originally launched in the summer is incredible. Loving it.

Much better quality of course with the experienced professionals they’ve hired onscreen but that’s now 3 entirely different breakfast shows since launch! I guess its a belated realisation that people don’t want hard and nasty culture wars on TV the morning and they’ll leave that to the evenings? Either way surely the cosy feel they’re going for is totally sewn up by BBC/ITV.
Also I notice no one cares that Kirsty Gallacher has been replaced while on sick leave - does she fit in anywhere or was that a convenient cover for her exit given that she was a ratings failure along with Simon?

Looks quite good. Still Hate the GB News graphics but that's their look. And find it a bit odd that there is Isobel on her own at 6am with no mention of Eamon at all and then suddenly he appears at 6.30. Need some acknowledgement, like GMB do with the fact that the other hosts will be there at 6.30.

I thought today's breakfast programme was really good, mainly due to the on screen rapport between Eamonn and Isabel. They both just seem to bounce off each other.
Content was a bit thin on the ground at times, and the paper review was a bit rushed, and I didn't get why reporter were wondering around residential streets in the pitch black...fair enough in the summer, bright sunshine at 7am having reporters on location, but when it's pitch black it just does not add anything.
I think they would also benefit from having a weather presenter in studio to chat to the hosts and have live forecasts rather than the constant pre recorded zooming in and out spinning all around the UK map.
All in all a really good start, Eamonn looks completely comfortable and I'm hoping he will let loose on topics in the future without the restraints he had when being on ITV.
