Carrying on from where TVF left off...
Only the BBC have confirmed their plans for coverage the local elections, mayoral and devolved parliamentary elections for Scotland and Wales. Nothing from ITV or Sky News yet

In the ITV News thread a few posters mentioned that they haven’t done local election coverage for a while now, so I wouldn’t expect anything from them.

The first Scottish debate is tonight at 7.50pm on BBC One Scotland and the BBC News Channel.
Hosted by Sarah Smith and can't find anywhere online where it's coming from.
Build-up to the debate starts from 7.30pm on the News Channel.
Reaction following it on BBC Scotland with 'The Nine'. The News Channel also has reaction to the debate from 9pm but does not say if this is a simulcast or separate programme.
I'd be interested to see if Alex Salmond is added last minute to the line up - when he launched his new part last week he said he would be making 'representations to broadcasters' about the debates. Now that he has several MPs and local councillors I'd have thought this was harder to turn down now.

Posted this comment in the ITV News but felt like the wrong place so pasting here..
Do we know if all English councils and mayor elections are holding off vote counting until the late morning of the 7th or are we going to get some results very late into the 6th or very early into the 7th? I know Wales and Scotland are holding off their votes until the later morning of the 7th?

You've got Local Elections, Senedd Elections, Scots Parliament, GLA, London Mayor. With all these, I highly doubt ITV will do nothing in terms of overnight coverage (though I may be wrong).

Again not so sure. We have had so-called Super Thursdays before, such as 2007, and I don't think ITV did anything then. STV will do a Scottish elections programme and ITV Wales will cover the Senedd election, but council election coverage gets so few viewers, I doubt their is any incenvtive for ITV to devote resources to a full programme.

I fully expect both BBC London and ITV London will be outside City Hall for the Mayoral elections both on voting day and when they announce the winner.

I would say that in lieu of ITV probably not doing an overnight results programme, I suspect GMB might be extended until 10AM on the 7th of May, probably with Ben and Susanna presenting and Ranvir in Westminster.
It'll be interesting to see how poor ITV Wales manage in their small shoebox of a set, which was awful for election coverage/specials before COVID

The BBC will probably subject us to another round of Studio B in Election mode, and I hope they've learnt their lessons from the 2019 GE and using AR.
Sky News will probably with be either in the atrium of Sky Central to allow for a bigger desk or a split programme between Glass Box and College Green

From a radio perspective, BBC Radio London and LBC will probably come live from City Hall for the London results, although LBC with their national focus will be broader in their coverage.
