No they aren’t.
The green logo lasted from 2007-2016.
The current one has been in use since 2016, it’s got another three or four years left.

It depends how thorough this branding is to channels and sub-brands. Remember in 1997 Children’s BBC had a beautiful bespoke logo with many variations, until the October ‘97 rebrand when it all became black and yellow with text logo at the bottom.
Also consider that it’s one brand that has a constant refresh of viewers each year as more get a little older and start watching content whilst others stop watching and seek programming from elsewhere. There will be quite a few viewers now who were mainly watching CBeebies when the current CBBC identity was unveiled.

From the brief snippets we've seen of the new look for me both CBBC and BBC3 already have elements which strongly link to it with the way the logos animate.

That’s not how age groups work. You couldn’t expect them to merge BBC 4 and BBC 3 - and that’s because of the different target audiences. Why would CBBC and CBeebies be any different? I don’t know if you’ve ever come across the concept of a human child before - but a toddler isn’t going to be interested in Tracy Beaker and a 12 year old isn’t going to be interested in the Teletubbies. Both channels provide completely different purposes.

For children though, at age (say) two, they want to be watching colourful cartoons and silly programmes. Adults would prefer them to have age-appropriate messaging contained within them such as saying please and thankyou, and/or educational elements such as learning colours or numbers. CBeebies is perfect for this with programmes like Yakadee, Bluey, Teletubbies, Justin's House, and Waffle The Wonder Dog.
Stick a 10 year old in front of these programmes though, and they will switch off very quickly. They already can tell red from yellow. They already know how to add and multiply numbers. They don't want the sillyness of The Clangers or In The Night Garden. What they want is action stuff like Tracey Beaker and The Worst Witch. Their parents want programmes that supplement and reinforce their school learning such as Horrible Histories and Deadly 60. And at that age they're mature enough to have a little bit of age-appropriate news mixed in, in the form of Newsround.
Before 2002 the BBC had just 2 FTA television channels, and the CBBC block was carried on BBC2, thus leaving one choice of television channel (BBC1) for the whole of the non-child national audience. Digital television, with its ability to add much more channel capacity, meant that the BBC could keep both BBC1 and BBC2 dedicated for the adult audience, while adding channels dedicated to kids.
How exactly would YOU manage a single kids TV channel, catering for both 2 year olds learning to talk, and 12 year olds wanting action superhero stories?

Both of the children's channels are long established now, so it's hard to imagine it being done a different way now, but there is the argument that a single children's channel could have been segmented - so CBeebies-type programming during daytime hours when older children are at school, then CBBC-type programming in the late afternoon. I know CBBC daytime programmes are all repeats, but to this day, since Class TV finished, I still find it hard to see who these programmes are aimed at during term time.
As for idents, although the last CBBC logo lasted from 2007 to 2016, the idents changed in 2014. And although those 2007 idents lasted seven years, I think they had greater longevity, more variations and I think most would agree they were much more impressive than the current ones, which are now nearly five-and-a-half years old and have probably had their day, even if the logo still has some life left in it.
However, at the moment we don't know how standardised the new logo format across the BBC's channels will be, and whether it will allow for the continuation of CBBC's existing logo, or BBC Three's 'tricon', for that matter. CBeebies, by the nature of the channel, I think will always be an outlier, and it's difficult to envisage it without the yellow blobs that have been a feature of the channel since it began.
