Very sad news, he had me in fits of laughter on 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

It's not often that I'm stunned into silence by any sort of news, but I really do not know what to say about this.

The British comedy scene has lost a shining star. May he rest in peace, and his memory be a blessing.

That’s a complete shock. And only 58.

Was a key part of 8 out of 10 Cats and Cats does Countdown…. But as mentioned he did seem a bit more frail in more recent episodes.

RIP.

Sean Lock was absolutely fantastic and I'm gutted to learn of his passing this morning.

I remember watching his stand up years ago and loving it, and very much enjoying 8 Out Of 10 Cats off the back of it.

More recently, whether it's eating a whole tub of whelks, his comments to a beard-donning Rachel, or his resounding Carrot In A Box victory over Jon, Sean made 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown absolutely unmissable - and hilarious - viewing for me.

RIP.

Sad news - so often had me in stitches on Catsdown. Did he feature in the recently recorded series which is yet to be broadcast?

Yep, that's the one! Nobody could make Jimmy break down in tears of laughter like Sean.

Another good example here...

Such terrible news. Sean would have me in tears watching 8 Out Of 10 Cats Countdown, a true master of his craft.

Just shocked at this news. One of my favourite comedians. Whatever he was on, it was guaranteed that I’d be laughing throughout. R.I.P.

Absolutely shocked and devastated. One of the finest comedians Britain has ever seen and he'll be sorely missed, thoughts are with his friends and family at what must be a very difficult time for them.

Very sad news. I rarely laugh out loud at the television but Sean Lock had me crying with laughter almost every show. And back in the day, 15 Storeys High was one of my favourite sitcoms. I need to dig out the DVD.

Yes he sadly seemed frail on the more ‘recent’ editions. Can’t remember if I saw a clip on here a few months ago

Very sad news. I knew he had been ill and was only thinking about how he was doing this morning.

Very sad news, a bolt out of the blue as per Paul Ritter's death.

He has only appeared in one recent filmed episode (4th Feb) as they have aired old unused episodes filmed in 2019 for last year and part of this year's series due to COVID and guest captains covered the rest of this year's series newly filmed episodes.

Given there were only 3 newly filmed episodes in the last run, I expect there are more already in the can, so he may appear again.
