Blue Peter is getting a refresh at 5pm with new titles, music and studio.

This seems to be the first major refresh since their move to Salford in 2011.

It gives me Scrambled and Nickelodeon vibes with the random things floating around and the stock imaged hand putting the logo in place, I'm glad the went back to the original notes of song, but you can't even tell it's the theme until the end. The logo almost looks a bit too childish.
I'm also enjoying the HQ's new presenter, Alishea. It's so refreshing to see a new face after just Ryhs and Joe for the past year.

I’ve captured the start of the programme which includes the titles, new music, new logo using the ship badge as the ‘u’, and a VT about the set revamp which is mainly an upcycle of the last one.

It raises a question, a lot of sets use bare studio walls these days, I feel like a lit coloured curtain would help this set a little.

It's not great, is it? The programme was due a refresh, but the logo looks rather like something from WordArt with a badge photoshopped on top of it - I feel it would have worked better to utilise the concept of the recycled artwork behind the performance area for the logo itself, or just make more of the hand drawn look like the rest of the titles. And the music really lacks any energy. It's more like a "Coming Up" underscore/bed which is purposely missing the main tune line so it can be spoken over.
Oh well, I'm in my thirties. What do I know. Maybe the kids will love it.

Not a fan at all. The titles don’t look great and the studio doesn’t appear to be too different. I was talking about this somewhere else, about how I feel that Blue Peter has got a whole lot weaker over the past year or so. I watch very rarely now, so I haven’t seen everything, and I know they’ve had to deal with the last obvious challenges, but the new presenters aren’t the most amazing and some of the features that I’ve seen, like the gaming challenge and a tiktok thing they did, was painful to watch. I know most won’t agree with me, but maybe the kids are enjoying it now.

Every children’s programme is worse than it used to be. It is because I’m older now.
Honestly, it’s always going to be impossible to judge this as an adult. For what it’s worth, I think this is great. All of it. I’d maybe make the melody a little stronger in that music, but that’s it. The energy of those presenters is spot on.

For me the strongest look was the bubble ship around 2000 with Konnie, Simon, Matt and Liz - and indeed probably the last truly great era of the show.

I actually think they've got it spot on with these titles. That retro style is very current and the music fits in well too. One of the better efforts at remixing the theme.
