It's been predicted on here for a while, now confirmed. Walking Dead likely to move to Disney+.

I didn't realise there was an original British drama on the channel, Deep State, as recently as 2019.

Interesting. I'd imagine that some shows may move to other broadcasters if not moved over to Star.

The Walking Dead and NCIS are third party so it's 50/50 whether they make the move to Star. Amazon has SVOD rights to The Walking Dead so first run episodes could run up there, not sure on NCIS but the latter could easily find a home on say Sky Witness.

Did not expect this. No wonder they acquired so many one-and-done US shows recently, like Gang Related, The Grinder, Grandfathered, and Cooper Barrett's Guide to Life - they were simply schedule filling until their closure.
ITV2 will be happy - they won't be competing with Fox anymore with Family Guy and American Dad!; Fox also premiered new episodes of the latter in the UK, and I imagine such arrangement will simply transfer to Disney+, with ITV2 premiering new AD! in a similar timeframe after Disney+ gets them.
NCIS will, as said above, probably move to Sky Witness or something.

Also CBS Justice show NCIS episodes from series 1 to 13 on a daily basis.

I guess Disney just didn't want to brand the channel "Star" in worry that viewers who have already gotten used to the "Ustav" name replacing Star thinking that Star (as it's original incarnation) would return.
That, or Disney just doesn't see value in operating linear channels anymore apart from Nat Geo, which... might be the next on the chopping block. At least The Walking Dead does happen to move to Star considering that Disney are one of the syndication distributors and can see some shows moving to Sky's other linear channels in the near future, depending on if Disney are willing to give them the right to.

On Demand is more developed in the UK than in most of Latin America.
No need to "ruin" the strong developing Star brand.
That and Fox in the UK faces already tough competition.
Plus it's Disney.. we'll see more closures in Europe, likely

A bit of a blow for Now TV with content now moving to a rival streamer, but clearly something Sky have been prepared for with their launch of multiple channels of their own over the last couple of years.
