I must say I really prefer this to Oneness. Simple and effective.

This is definitely a symbol they should use for the next rebrand.
It gives BBC One a symbol like Two has with their 2 curve. BBC Creative should consider pitching this to Superunion and ask them to make a BBC One rebrand using this spiral symbol.

Unusually generic announcement for some reason “some programmes have moved to BBC Two” almost like the sort they’d use on a digital channel that don’t have Live announcers.

I wonder how long that ident has existed for, and whether it was created this week?

Would be nice to see this idea explored further in the near future - something like this on a permanent scale (albeit not in a sombre tone) would be miles ahead of what we've had to cope with for the last 4 years.

It's not something I'd say no to.

I wouldn't be surprised to see BBC One go abstract, BBC Two and ITV have both recently launched very well received sets of idents that break the 'scenes from real-life' orthodoxy that has existed for nearly 20 years. Maybe the one upside from oneness is that they were so bad, they have put everybody off filmed idents.
