He mentions while preparing for the 10pm question time that he was told that Panorama which had been added to the schedule that night was struggling to pull a programme together at short notice and instead the question team produced a live 60 minute special on Thatcher from the question set ( which was at the Barbican) before also producing the normal question time that night.

I have just seen posted on twitter the Six O’clock news from that night that was hosted by Peter Sissons and Anna Ford. Did Peter Sissons really present the news and two question time’s on the same evening? I know he might have a brought in as one of the main news anchors but if I remember he never did the news on a Thursday normally because of question time.

We know they went to ITN at 09:55 but there's not much else of the day on YouTube. Not certain what time the first Question Time was. Peter finishes it saying there's continuing coverage over on Newsnight and that the second edition was on at 11:30. Looking at Genome https://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/schedules/bbcone/london/1990-11-22 QT was scheduled at 10:30 as was Newsnight. Newsnight was also extended to an hour... so my guess is that QT part 1 was on at 10:00,then Newsnight at its usual time of 10:30, then QT part 2 at 11:30. Presumably the two programmes displaced by QT that evening were just shown in its original slot.
