New role or just a new job title to justify a (much deserved) pay rise? That often seems to be when "Editor" is added to a reporters job title.

Yeah, it seems like that - at least all of the other newly appointed editors cover a 'brief'.
This seems to match an increase in salary or new contract - like it's been said, all deserved as Ros is great - but maybe a title like 'Special Correspondent'? Just don't see how you can be the editor of analysis?
