An absolute legend. Of course any death is sad, but 95 is a grand age.
It's just a shame she never got a proper exit from EastEnders. For whatever reason she seemed to not want to return & now I guess we'll see a funeral for the character having died off screen.

Its a shame she didn't go in the best of circumstances. She just left before the lockdown, with no send-off whatsoever, and that does not spark joy.

Very sad news. I was hoping June would come back to EastEnders, even if it was just to give the character of Dot a fitting ending, much like how Dot was involved in Ethel’s final scenes.
Evidently that will now not be the case, but hoping the character gets a good post humous send off on the show now when suitable.

I’m not a fan of soaps but from what I understand of June Brown her portrayal of Dot was a world away from her true life persona.I saw the report on BBC news this afternoon as news broke of her passing and I was dumbfounded at her true voice and demeanour as opposed to her on screen appearance as Dot. Not many actors can create such a “alternative identity” like that and to do so shows great talent. RIP June.
