I’m assuming by store you mean the physical signs on the buildings? I’d say that similarly applies to the BBC, I don’t think anybody is expecting all BBC properties and physical logos to change overnight. However, when it comes to visual presence, you’d expect a change to be rolled out across media at the same time; whether this is a supermarket (who from my experience will change social media, websites, on screen advertising and in store advertising on a certain date) or a Television company - you expect a bit of consistency. ITV in 2006 & 2013 used the introduction of new logos to bring new designs to it’s News programmes, whereas the BBC in 1997 simply added the changed logo to its existing services. The latter option is something that I would expect to line up the logo across all services from tomorrow, but that may be expecting too much.

Apart from the absence of new BBC One idents, my guess is The One Show will be retaining the old 'one' font / lettering in its titles and astons for now.

The daily mail is jumping up and down a bit less than I expected - so far this whole rebrand hasn’t been particularly prominent in the media - maybe a sign that the BBC just isn’t seen as relevant as it used to be? I remember so much more noise in 1997…. Or is my memory playing tricks on me?

Give them time... i'm sure they're just getting warmed up. No doubt it'll be attacked for being too similar to the current logo and at the exact same time 'too radical'. No doubt GB 'News' can add it to their Culture Wars nonsense to boot.

Nice to see they are up to date with the "current ident" image being the previous one before oneness.
