Think of when Look Hull introduced titles that were like a crap mock of the North West Tonight style. Or when the "Look East" name was suddenly written in Helvetica (or whatever random font it was) instead of the prescribed Gill Sans.
Does it get a refresh?. it’s not long since the July 2019 refresh
My guess is the titles will just be updated with the new BBC logo. Although I wouldn’t be disappointed to see them replaced entirely. I think they look quite cheap.

There are downsides to trying to fit everything into a perfect square. The perfectly square red box in the the bottom-left of the current An Là titles squeezes "BBC Naidheachdan" into it, so the 12-letter word for "news" has to be in such a small font size in order to fit onto one line (and therefore looks so out of balance with the much larger "BBC" blocks immediately above it).
If Newyddion S4C still had the corporate/generic BBC News look, it might have a similar problem (although at least "Newyddion" has 3 fewer letters than "Naidheachdan", so not quite such a squeeze).
If BBC Local Radio stations tried to have perfectly square logos, then the likes of "BBC Three Counties Radio" and "BBC Hereford & Worcester" would be a right squeeze.

Friends, I'm starting to feel like my IQ score drops with every additional page of this thread that I read.
Let's be sensible about this. Not much is known about the changes at present. We won't know a massive amount for sure until it launches. Insiders aren't going to publish new logos, trailers, idents, or anything else which you might like to see publicly or privately, no matter how much you'd like them to. We know very little about the overall changes and yet we've somehow managed to fill over ninety pages. We should be aiming for quality, not quantity; going round in circles and waffling about nothing in the absence of having anything concrete to base discussion on is hardly the best use of anyone's time.
Please think before you post. "Do I have anything to say that is relevant/of interest/which will further discussion?" If the answer is no, then you really need to take a step back until you do.
Here's to a less cluttered, less inane, and more productive discussion going forward, please.

Radio station names on most car stereos list the stations as Radio 1, BBC R2, BBC R3 etc.
I think changing them to Sounds 1, BBC S2, BBC S3 etc. would certainly take some getting used to.
Can't see it working with regional stations... BBC Sounds Ulster just does not work at all! :lol:
