For those seemly overly critical of CBS Sunday Morning, try watching some of the stories. As was mentioned by Sky303 (thanks), along with 60 Minutes, both programmes arent "nostalgic", they just dont concentrate on sets or graphics and have retained a style that has worked for decades. The sets and the graphics are kept simple, because the focus of both programmes are exceptional meticulous writing and journalism. I wouldnt class CSM as a hard journalism show, but its not all fluffy stories and puppies. Typically their top piece will be a serious story, but not investigative like 60 Minutes.

Many of the stories are typically available on Youtube so you get a flavour for the show. The pacing of the show is slower and even the cadence of the correspondence and the presenter Jane Pauley is markedly different that other news programmes. Similar to the style of 60 Minutes. It definitely a show worth waking up to watch on a Sunday Morning, snuggled in bed or on the sofa under a blanket with a cuppa. But clearly the hate Sunday Morning and 60 Minutes gets makes it apparent many here havent watched or watched very little of the programme.

Earlier this year, the former CBS Corporation HQ (nicknamed the Black Rock) was sold to Harbor Group International, which plans to eventually retain it as a office building. Although ViacomCBS is leasing some space in a short-term lease, it plans to move all operations to their One Astor Plaza HQ.
