Thanks for the heads up. I haven't got round to seeing that film yet but the other BT Sport Films I've watched have been enjoyable and insightful so I'll try and catch that on Monday or on ITV Hub.

I think I saw last year that there film on West Ham United (or something like that, I can't seem to find one on West Ham on the Wikipedia list) was on Prime Video last year. And per Wikipedia, Don't Take Me Home about Wales in Euro 2016 is a BT Sport Films production, and that aired on BBC One Wales last year during lockdown and is available on Prime Video.

Channel 4 have drafted in their presenter Steve Jones to be commentator on the F1 highlights this weekend in the place of the absent Alex Jacques. An interesting decision to get in somebody completely new to commentary when there's many a voice available presumably, including their former commentator Ben Edwards who stepped in at short notice earlier in the year.

And the sports broadcasting angle to Saudi Arabia (kind of) buying Newcastle United is that the piracy dispute between Qatar/beIN Sports and Saudi Arabia/beoutQ has been resolved, with beIN Sports now to be allowed to be broadcast in KSA and the trade blockade against Qatar also to be lifted. Thankfully there's nothing murky or morally questionable about KSA's purchasing now that's been resolved...

Andy Goldstein hosted the Home Nations Series which starts this weekend with the Northern Ireland Open so suppose we will find out what they are doing fairly soon, Murray usually presented the tournaments that was on the BBC

Is Steve Jones at home and if so how does he get the feeds?

The Sport Thread - Hatton Cross - 08-10-2021

Surely he'd be commentating off tube from where Whisper Films put the coverage together at Timeline Facilities over in Ealing?

So they already be plugged in to the FOM TV feeds coming in from Turkey and Diamond House at Biggin Hill

Looks like BT Sport's presentation is onsite but commentary possibly back in Stratford for Fury Wilder 3. Richie Woodhall will be co-commentator but was doing an analysis piece alongside Cral Frampton and Derek Chisora from what I think was the cave that Champions League Tonight came from, but it was properly lit in red.

And a nice studio set-up from BBC Sport NI's rugby coverage...apart from the logos on the plinths which is years out of date

ITV have shown at least one of the BT Sport Films before - I think I mentioned it in the blue place but would have to do a bit of digging to find out which one.

Blimey. Apparently ITV's comms kit was damaged, and they're now going to off-tube it from London.

Pretty sure the Brian O’Driscoll “Shoulder to Shoulder” BT Sport Film got an airing on RTE.

Ulster Rugby Live…the “Sport” part of the logo on the podiums couldn’t be seen from some angles on the broadcast. URC graphics used throughout and the programme titles, though similar to the last ones, used the URC logo at the end. (I’m not sure why the URC just didn’t develop a generic titles sequence given RTE and TG4’s are almost exactly the same and BBC NI’s is basically the same idea differently executed).

Glasgow Warriors v Lions on Premier Sports - the away team has no “LIO” or whatever it should be in the scorebar- it’s just blank.

Edit; it’s appeared now

ITV Hub being a pest tonight again. Thankfully STV is working well.

Some of the cameras on tonight’s Andorra v England look upscaled compared to the others. Particularly the manager camera I feel.

Possible some were caught up in the fire yesterday and lower quality cameras have been bought in to replace them?
