This is a 1997 style rebrand.
Don’t expect everything at once. There’s too many services to do all at once, unlike a couple of channels in the 90s.

Well that’s very disappointing news. I think we’d been led to assume it was going to a flick of a switch rebrand.
So are you saying that some channels will remain as they are? That the old BBC logo will be seen alongside the new one?
In 1997 the logo changed on everything immediately (apart from BBC World which was a few weeks later) but it was only the presentation which had a radical change (apart from BBC 2). BBC News stayed the same.
I suspect the logo will be updated on everything, there will be new BBC 1 idents and maybe new BBC News titles but I imagine most things will stay as they are with the new logo edited in where required.

I'm now thinking about when Look North (Leeds) re-edited their existing titles to reflect the change of BBC logo for a single weekend in autumn 1997, ahead of the programme getting a totally new look on the Monday.

I also loved Tokyo 2020's with its simplicity and its basis on traditional kimono making techniques called "Kasane-no-irome"
Here's an example of said technique.

Paris 2024 is also nice with the art-deco styling (a callback to Paris 1924, when art-deco was popular) and its feminine logo (referencing the 1900 Paris Games being the first to include female athletes). Also its sustainability purposes is also a good example of how brands should make their branding more sustainable to the environment.
And it's also the same logo for the Paralympics, reflecting the shared vision of the two events.

I believe it was the same with Newcastle’s Look North too, as they also relaunched on the Monday.

Ooh no, I disagree. It was trying far too hard to be edgy and pointedly controversial. I preferred the original logo for the 2012 bid. I remember everyone hating it at the time.

Newsroom South East also updated their old look with the new logo, but in this case they got a few more days' use out of it, as their new look didn't arrive until the following Thursday.

When I think about it, the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games "look of the Games" branding is like a continuation of London 2012's branding but with a much bolder font (Knockout is their typeface).

Back to the topic. My biggest concern if corporate BBC rebranding is happened is branding of the BBC Radio services, which contain National, Local, Nations (Scotland, Wales, NI), and World Service. The recent BBC Radio branding saw most of them are inconsistent each other, particularly BBC Local Radio when for example one Local Radio in Berkshire is using Gill Sans but BBC Radio Bristol is using Reith. I'm curious to see how the new logo being implemented in all Radio service, where their branding must be consistent again, despite not as tight as in 1997.

How about National radio services (Radio 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Live, and digital radio services like Radio 6 Music, Asian Network)? They still using the respective radio's logo since 2007 will Gill Sans "RADIO" and circles logo despite change of its local radio to Reith. The current radio branding is inconsistent.

I'm aware of that, it's only used in logos and online tho. Knockout is the main typeface on socials/advertising and they shift between weights in the branding.

On the surface, maybe. Television being a visual medium, and Radio being sound based. But thinking about it, it actually is a bigger priority than you would initially think. Live streams from the studios are quite common, for example. Logos that appear on your car's on board entertainment when you select a new station (at least more modern cars), the info screens on Freeview when you have radio on your television.
