The T marker for tries is too small.
I have to hand it to the URC for creating an entire and quite unique look to their tournament - you won’t easily confuse it with any particular broadcaster and the off air and on air branding is completely co-ordinated. It comes with a price, of course, in terms of the use of some very custom fonts that I’m not a massive fan of, but the whole look just gels. Most comments I’ve seen on it are on the bottom centred scorebar, which a lot of people seem to hate, though of course if you watch NFL (or even BT Sport) you’ll be used to.
RTE and TG4 use very similar opening titles - the main difference being “RTE Sport” instead of “Sport TG4” and the Irish team names being in English instead of Irish. The same indie now produces coverage for both stations, though games on RTE still employ RTE Sport talent on air as well as using RTE Sport graphics for studio segments.

Some initial details of DAZN's coverage of the UEFA Women's Champions League which starts tomorrow (every match this season and next on YouTube). Some effort going into surrounding coverage and doccumentaries etc. but lack of detail on the actual match coverage apart from MUTV's Pien Meulensteen will be involved, so unlikely just world feed coverage, at least on the biggest game of the week.

Interesting development (if its not a mistake) considering it had been thought BT would retain the Cricket Australia rights.
Someone over on Digital Spy is saying that the Women's BBL has appeared on Sky Cricket on Digiguide for later this month so looking less like a mistake. If the contract is split between BBL on Sky and internationals on BT I could see it working well for both parties. Sky are a little thin on cricket over the northern winter whilst BT keep the flagship event of the contract and have plenty of filler content from their NZ contract to fall back on.

BBC 2 going heavier than I ever remember on "stories" and mass participants instead of showing the elite races. Yes you can watch the elites uninterrupted on iPlayer -- and I am -- but you miss out on the Radcliffe and Cram commentary, which I enjoy.
I would guess the £3m came from the domestic events contract the BBC didn't have this year, showing the UK Championships, the home Diamond League events and the Birmingham/Glasgow Grand Prix indoors.
Missed a lot of the BBC Two coverage but the coverage of the elite events did seem to improve when the coverage over to BBC One, mainly because the race reached the business end but also Gabby had left the start to travel to the finish.
No reference in the live coverage from what I recall of this being the end of BBC involvment such as tribute looking back over the 41 years of coverage. A further step to the return of full normality with the on-course reporters only using hand held mics at an arm's length to interview runners rather than an extended stick to remain 2 m from anyone. There was still distancing between Gabby and guests at the start/finish and notably the men's winner was not interviewed after his victory due to another runner that he travelled from Kenya with testing positive on Saturday so the others tested negative but kept away from anyone else outside of the 26.2 miles themselves.

Only slight mention I heard was after the BBC One coverage ended and on the red button for the Masses when Steve Cram, Paula Radcliffe & Andrew Cotter picked up commentary and Cram was talking about commentating on the race and hopefully will still be in this seat for years to come.

Graphics looking nice too (in spoiler). Nice to see a women's competition not resorting to pink/purple branding and graphics which the old graphics were guilty of.
Commentary available in English and the language of each of the competing team (so three streams (English, German and Danish) avaiable for Hoffenheim v. Koge for example).

Premier Sports sign deal to broadcast Rugby League Championship with games to be aired live on a Monday Night in a 2 year deal. Over 30 regular season games with play offs, the summer bash and Million Pound Game to be shown. The deal also gives Premier secondary rights to the Challenge Cup which were previously with Sky Sports with 7 games to be broadcast live including 2 quarter finals. Still no word on the reported 10 game Super League package and highlights, wonder if Premier might go for that and put some games on freesports.

Good news but is ITV4 with all their tournaments not free to air?
Also wonder what this will mean for the Champions League of Darts on BBC Sport as I believe the PDC insist only their tournaments are shown by a broadcaster and when the BBC started to show PDC darts they dropped Lakeside and the BDO.

It may be on the app, Iplayer and BBC Sport website, but I don't see anything about some sessions of play being used to fill up afternoons on BBC Two.
