I believe they could start working on that if the Queen's eventual passing is imminent.

Is it still the 2017-era breakdown slide? I recall it appearing once in 2019, but I don't know if they have since replaced it.

It was this one

Something flashed up for about half a second over a tone, didn't see it as I was looking at something else, but out the corner of my eye it looked like it had the 5-colour ITV logo on it.

Lots of clips from radio stations going into obit mode here:

Could somebody explain to me why UKTV dropped adverts? I can understand ITV doing it when they were covering the news all day, but dropping adverts on Dave out of respect seems redundant when you're still showing Red Bull Soapbox Race.

The quality of everything I've seen has been pretty good.

In presentation terms, I feel like ITV have put the most effort in, with their special graphics and changes to the set. I like Sky's graphics too.

The look and feel of the BBC coverage seems quite business-as-usual BBC News, but they're still doing a good job.

I was quite surprised to see that other than the ident changes and News Report Slide (which looked pretty nice) that the usual red Breaking News graphics hadn't been changed to a more appropriate colour scheme, especially when we know the previous (2013) graphics had an obit version, as it was aired by error on January 19th 2020 during the weekend lunchtime news.

I saw something moving about on the screen with the tone. Not sure what but I also thought it said 'Greenwich Mean Time', but i'm not too sure.

I imagine that one reason why they dropped them would be to ensure that the ad-selling team could check the adverts to ensure nothing was offensive, and to allow advertisers to pull adverts if they wished.

They were back on The Yesterday Channel by 7pm yesterday.

BBC news seems to have dropped all of the back half hour shows until the film review at 19:30.

Also a special programme on BBC One Scotland at 18:05-18:35 tonight titled ‘HRH the duke of Edinburgh - Scotland remembers

I expect because they are BBC owned channels.
