I'm kind of getting the same energy as the 4seven idents, especially with the music.Made by the same people if what I'm hearing's correct. The music on that clip game me vibes of this mix of the balloon ident music... https://youtu.be/cYythUj_Ag8 BBC One: 2022 Idents - Lyric W. - 01-04-2022 New idents: I like 'em. and I don't want to back down from that. BBC One: 2022 Idents - Brekkie - 01-04-2022 ConorM98 post_id=76324 time= user_id=983 Wrote:The lens effects don't last for long enough for my liking - certainly not on the trampoline one that just aired before A Question of Sport.I think the problem with this ident maybe the same as the issue with Oneness - they commission an entire set of news safe idents, hence they're all quite boring and unremarkable. BBC One: 2022 Idents - AxiosBrit67 - 01-04-2022 DavidWhitfield post_id=76320 time= user_id=1016 Wrote:I have to be honest - I watched the ident and my thought process went thus:It reminds of how European TV-style idents should look, very simple but have wonderful messages. BBC One: 2022 Idents - ColonelGrantham - 01-04-2022 I think just to say “I don’t get it” when there has been a lot of discussion of how idents would have three versions of the same space is a bit closed-minded. It might not be immediately obvious from that first outing, but the idea is clearly there! I think this is a vast improvement over what came before and the lens allows for many more versions of these idents in the future! Plus having a soundtrack again is wonderful BBC One: 2022 Idents - Argyess - 01-04-2022 HTV Best post_id=76321 time= user_id=991 Wrote:DavidWhitfield post_id=76320 time= user_id=1016 Wrote:I have to be honest - I watched the ident and my thought process went thus: Basically, each ident consists of a constant venue/setting- in this case, a warehouse. What we see through the lens is 3 different scenarios at the same place. BBC One: 2022 Idents - Robert Williams - 01-04-2022 The lens animation looks rather flat and basic, not remotely as good as the more sophisticated diamond animation in the BBC HD idents, which more made more than ten years earlier. However at least now the blips make some kind of sense! The way the action of the main scene within the circle becomes offset with its surrounding reminds me a lot of the BBC Four idents. BBC One: 2022 Idents - BrandonHTVYT - 01-04-2022 Honestly the idents aired so far remind me of both the Rhythm and Movement idents and the BBC HD idents. I actually quite like them tbh. BBC One: 2022 Idents - johnnyboy - 01-04-2022 DavidWhitfield post_id=76320 time= user_id=1016 Wrote:I have to be honest - I watched the ident and my thought process went thus: Agreed. They remind me of the beautifully filmed but utterly nonsensical final BBC HD idents. The one that sticks in my mind was the cat turning into the tiger. HD sharpens up an existing image, it doesn't turn it into different. Remember when they introduced the people idents into the balloon era and many of us hated it because it took away from the symbol? It's all just people idents now. Yawn. BBC One: 2022 Idents - Meteor - 01-04-2022 What are we going to call them? BBC One: 2022 Idents - NancerOnTheLIVEForum - 01-04-2022 I think it's a case of "you'll warm up to them over time" like it was with the BBC logo itself. Personally, they're alright, though I wish the lens effect carried on a bit longer/more clearer to see. In the second ident it was a lot more obvious. I think they should have launched with a different ident so that the concept was obvious from the start. BBC One: 2022 Idents - Inspector Sands - 01-04-2022 DavidWhitfield post_id=76320 time= user_id=1016 Wrote:I have to be honest - I watched the ident and my thought process went thus: It's a railway arch. The idents show three things that happen in that location - skating, an art exhibition (or life drawing) and a rave style party But there are three different versions, so one you see the skaters and the art and ravers in the wipe. Another it'll be the ravers with the art and skaters wiping across and the third is the art with the skaters and ravers. I think they'll become more obvious once all 3 are seen, you can join the dots BBC One: 2022 Idents - Thistle - 01-04-2022 Farmland festival - Would I Lie to You Market hustle - Masterchef Hall showtime - Have I got news for you Warehouse rave - Not going out Bench empty (news safe) - 10pm News Sky night - Braveheart BBC One: 2022 Idents - JetixFann450 - 01-04-2022 You know what'd be an interesting ident idea? Studio. Every part of the lens reveals a programme in making, camera crew and all. |
