Something pretty spectacular will have to happen for that clash to take place on Sunday!

Andy Murray’s out?

Any Euros match would probably remain on BBC One over any Murray tennis match anyway, let alone England in the final!

Ah yes. I think you’re right. Gary & co seem to be presenting the BBC One highlights right now from one of those smaller platforms. Nothing on set, it’s just the three of them stood there!

I didn't know, I don't follow tennis, just know the BBC will move heaven and Earth to get him on BBC One.

How come Crouchy's Year Late Euros series ended before the final? Mind you from what I saw of it was pretty dire.

I'm not an avid tennis watcher but even I knew Andy was out of Wimbledon.

Yes, its very strange they don't have an episode on Sunday night.

Obvious you risk it being a bit awkward and a downer if we lose, but that could've easily been the case tonight (or previously..). Chances of them putting an extra episode out? Probably non existent...?

BBC Two has Wimbledon coverage from 1740 at the moment but I assume there's a plan in place just in case the Men's Final overruns so that CF moves to BBC Two.
There is a women's doubles final to follow the men's singles final (or mixed doubles, they have switched them before and that may be the case given the rain this week the mixed is currently a round behind the men's and women's doubles).

Nevertheless we've possibly got 55 years worth of this ahead of us

Let's hope the British English team bus doesn't drive off the edge of a cliff....

Not that strange, when they did Fantasy Football during France 98 and Euro 2004, the final episode was the Saturday before the final. Indeed I remember in 1998 that David Baddiel said that if England got to the final, they would be going regardless of the fact they had a show the night before and would just find somewhere to do it, and said "If England get to the World Cup Final, I don't think people will mind that half an hour of telly is a bit rubbish."

Of course, Crouch was scheduled to come on pretty much in the last few minutes of the match last night, and that would have made for a very strange opening*, but it was put back to eleven o'clock, with Mrs Brown's Boys filling the gap. The big question is, who was covering it for Sky Sports News? Surely they had more reporters than viewers.

* In the 2002 World Cup, the Beeb started their coverage of Spain vs Slovenia before England vs Sweden on ITV had finished, so Gary started by saying "Thanks for joining us but... why? Oh, you're Spanish!" and did the opening link in Spanish, and during the build-up the pundits clearly had half an eye on the England game, Peter Reid was pretty much ignoring him and was getting very animated. Actually Peter Reid was great value in that tournament as on the highlights show after England vs Argentina he was clearly completely drunk, not realising when he'd been asked a question and then talking over everyone else, while trying to stay upright on his chair.
