Yes, several times

Edit: and the commentary really is awful

Euro 2020 (+1) - UTVLifer - 07-07-2021

Who has got the final, the BBC or ITV?

Euro 2020 (+1) - Rory - 07-07-2021

Both.

Euro 2020 (+1) - BcastCornwall - 07-07-2021

Matterface's grovelling for viewers - never heard anything like it before.

Euro 2020 (+1) - thegeek - 07-07-2021

Well I suppose the BBC will have to find somewhere else for Countryfile, because there's no way they're only running an hour of build-up.

Euro 2020 (+1) - London Lite - 07-07-2021

Safe to say the final will be the most watched event of the year.

Euro 2020 (+1) - VMPhil - 07-07-2021

Ratings for the final are going to be 2012 opening ceremony levels, surely.

They'll be hoping for a Wimbledon final done in three sets. Suspect ITV may start as early as 4pm, kicking out Harry Potter.

Euro 2020 (+1) - DamC - 07-07-2021

I wonder how sponsor stings are picked for each game. I watched on M6 and looked at ITV and ZDF at some point tonight and all three channels had Booking.com and TikTok as sponsors. Are they decided by UEFA for all countries?

Euro 2020 (+1) - Brekkie - 07-07-2021

I suspect the sponsor packages specify the games, so more will be paid for the semis and finals.

Euro 2020 (+1) - eyeTV - 07-07-2021

Wrighty would certainly be the best bet on co-commentary. Get a bit of passion in there which is sadly lacking on both sides in the commentary box.

Whoever sponsored the other semi final will have got a raw deal in the UK though won’t they

I guess there's always postponing the repeat of This Farming Life on BBC2 at 4.40pm to allow Wimbledon to move over an hour early, and then Countryfile can start earlier.

Wonder how many papers and news reports will be referencing 'The Italian Job' in the next few days. 8-)

Countryfile can get kicked to BBC2 or next week. The BBC will want one final to flow into the other. They might as well drop the teatime news considering no news bulletin will actually show any actual news on Sunday.

Euro 2020 (+1) - Andrew - 07-07-2021

Yes the BBC will be hoping it’s a thrilling Wimbledon final that goes on just long enough, so they can then flow into the football around 6:00/6:30

They won’t want it to go too long that it has to move to BBC Two or that they have to fill with doubles on BBC One
