Does a delayed start affect the time C4 can show highlights? I doubt they'd want to move any later tonight as they won't want to drop Celebrity SAS, and then thanks to the Paralympics not much flexibility in the schedule after.

I was wondering if Gold Rush may actually move to the main channel

How are Sky filling? Sports Extra are going off random tangents and still entertaining.

They've just had an ad break on Sky F1 with just over an hour left of the allotted time for the race.

In the unlikely event that the race does go ahead today, what would happen if the delayed start had eaten into the post race coverage time when adverts are scheduled?

Would they actually be allowed to delay an ad break without upsetting advertisers so they could show the race uninterrupted?

To be honest the highlights at this point will predominantly be the medical car doing a few laps… some cracking driving and the spray is demonstrating quite well why they’re not racing.

Sky F1 now gone to a filler featuring Mick Schumacher driving his father’s Jordan F1 car.

Race Control: A Weather Update will be provided at 16:45 BST...

Trying to compete a 1 hour race, clock has been stopped.

Typical something is said soon as Sky has gone off-air. Sports Extra still continuing.

Looks like there will be an update on the f1 at 4.45pm on sky f1.

And now at 18:00 local. They're getting closer together at least...

Better late than never.

And red flag again. 18:17 the latest it can finish...

C4 highlights scheduled 2000-2100 at the moment.

C4 highlights scheduled 2000-2100 at the moment.

And race will not resume. Four hours of covearge, four laps of cars following a safety car. Shortest race in F1 history.

The Sport Thread - JAS84 - 29-08-2021

The rules need changing. No way was two laps enough to declare a result, that race should've been null and void.

Is it even worth Channel 4 doing a highlights programme now?

The Sport Thread - Brekkie - 29-08-2021

Well at least they won't have to axe their build up features now. Half an hour of build up, five minutes or action, 20 minutes of reaction. Kind of works out perfect for them.
