BBC Two might be showing off their (not) new Christmas idents 10 minutes earlier than One because their next programme starts at 7:30pm while One’s next programme starts at 7:40pm.

As feared the gag of the carol gets lost under the continuity. Indeed a shame they didn't the ident speak for itself on debut and keep continuity to a minimum as they often used to do.

BBC One Scotland showed the ident for a slightly longer duration to everyone else. Playing it until just before Shaun throws the snowball at Bitzer.

BBC One Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales showed what is most likely the News ident before "Blankety Blank".
It shows the tree without Shaun and the flock and like the other idents it looks rather superb.

Is a bit of a shame they have to use the same one all night which I suspect is why the nations have used the news safe one outside of the news too, which isn't a bad idea too. In recent years they've often been the nicest of the set.

BBC should move the blocks to the bottom with the one so we can see the star on the Xmas Tree, In other news Snooker has finished early but unfortunately we still had normal ident to QI.
