There’s absolutely no need for this kind of post. I expressed my opinion – I don’t need to be shot down for it.
Honestly I think [mention]Rob[/mention] and the other mods need to put a stop to this kind of garbage because quite frankly there’s no need for me to engage further with the topic or forum if I can expect that. I reckon some members need to learn the difference between subjectivity and objectivity. And on the other extreme, it’s okay to not like the new logo too – there is no right or wrong here.
Come on folks, lets just be civil with each other. We've already issued several warnings to members in recent days for quite abrupt and aggressive posts. There's no need for it.
We're all pres geeks with differences of opinion, let's not spoil a conversation around something (I think) we've all been waiting to happen for a very long time. A lot of what's being discussed is still speculation as most of us haven't seen the final branding in action.
Now... let's all take a deep breath, reset and let normal service resume.

What's impressive is how cohesive it all seems. I understand there's a rollout, but it looks like it's as significant as the 1997 rebrand. And, possibly even stronger in the consistency.
Bear in mind, visual identity is more than just logos. You're giving entire services a consistent user experience. Everything has to flow and animate seamlessly between services.

While I had my reservations about the new BBC logo, a modern, dynamic and cohesive rebrand is what the corporation has needed for some time, and I can't fault what I've seen so far.

I'm not a massive fan of the BBC logo splitting from the channel number. It resembles the short-lived ITV1 2006 idents where the logo split across the screen "encompassing" the action or lack of action behind. However, Ive seen the comments above saying this may well not be exactly what we see on screen. Really, it doesn't really need a ONE or TWO moniker - the channel logo/ident should itself show you what channel you are watching. I don't mind the BBC ONE/BBC TWO showing at the start of the ident though, then splitting apart, to use the BBC symbol for the rest of the ident only. That would be more sensible.

Wow, I’m slightly taken aback having seen those leaks. It’s very different to what’s on screen now which is definitely a good thing. My only criticism is the overly large BBC blocks on the menu/idents when they animate towards the top. I like how the branding very much relies on motion to showcase each channel identity.

Sorry but why are loads of people kicking off about the new "BBC" logo like it is totally different? I bet apart from us TV/Radio Geeks most Tom, Dick and Harry won't even notice it has changed.
From what I have seen so far, I think it looks good and let's be fair it can't be any worse then oneness

I’m a firm believer of “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.”
There is nothing wrong with the current look on any of the channels. It’s a rebrand for rebrands sake. And it looks naff.

Well I am not a fan of the logo I am just glad to see the back of oneness to be honest, that was a joke people looking gormlessly at camera what was that about.
