I’m beginning to wonder if the icons may have been dropped. Was there any sign of them in the leaked video from last week? Perhaps they didn’t get a favourable response in the survey.

The icons are still being used on the apps, at least, aren't they?

What's on TV as well.

I don’t know - has anyone seen any evidence one way or the other?

How long have the BBC Studios Entertainment/Music/etc end boards been in use? Seen two tonight and hadn’t seen them before apart from the post on here a while back. Is it connected with the rebrand?

Watching BBC1 tonight, it seems the BBC is in some kind of televisual paradox. They say that TV viewers are declining so therefore promote iPlayer until the cows come home, putting entire series' on the streaming service, and then wonder why people don't watch it on telly! Surely, if a programme was good, people wouldn't mind, and even look forward to, watching it each week?

I just thought that the amount of iPlayer trails was a bit too much in comparison with trailers for programmes that will be airing on BBC1 itself.

There might be more to that than you think. I've noticed the CA's (at least in NI) have been saying "next on ONE" a lot more recently so perhaps only having "ONE" TWO" is going to be the norm...?

Oh my goodness. Although that ident is unlikely to be used, it is a hideous rebrand! The end boards and logo and even the "one" look nice, but those Oneness idents do not do the new imagery justice. I think I'm back to the point, following looking at that, that I think the rebrand should be delayed until New Year. Why on earth would they want their lovely shiny new imagery stuck on these idents? The idents were created for a purpose. That purpose has passed. The BBC has truly lost the plot.

Yes, I know it's just a mock up, but even the French are taking the mickey!

Incidentally, in the reply to the tweets, someone has posted that Oneness idents will be here to stay until March 2nd 2022. There is no citation for this, but it was an interesting comment, and suggests perhaps a recycled set of Christmas Idents this year.

Would it be fair to speculate the 2017 rebrand launching with only two idents, both set in the West of England, had some bearing on the nations' strength of feeling this time around?

It seems odd of all the criticisms aired about the ident set that shall not be named, limited initial locations wasn't really one of them? Yet it's had such a major impact here?

Not long now...

I don't think Oneness is all that bad.

There was a good idea behind it, like others here have said, but it could've been executed better.

To quote a friend of mine, it's not "the satan of TV presentation people make it out to be."

New BBC channel logos in action - RDJ - 16-10-2021

The strange form of the BBC at the top and the small One at the bottom reminds me of the 2006 ITV1 idents where the logo splits apart at either end of the screen.

It didn’t make much sense then, and I’m not sure it’s making much sense with the BBC doing it now. I would say that it was executed by ITV marginally better but shall wait until they’re out there before I fully have my day.

That one at least looks quite nice. Thanks for sharing. Some of the Oneness idents, particularly the later ones, were much better. I really really like the BBC and the ONE logos, that is something I can not deny looks nice. Only gripe, could they not change the "Campers, Glencoe" font to Reith? It looks misplaced and demonstrates what others mean about mish-mash?

Looks like Reith font to me.
