I can’t. Not going to happen.

Are we really going to go through all this again?

France 98 was also split between both channels.

I could be wrong but I think Italia 90 was the last International Tournament where England games were shown on both channels.
Both the BBC and ITV showed England v Germany in Euro ‘96.

England v Denmark and England v Brazil in 2002 were on both the BBC and ITV.

Any England Semi Final up until 2012 would have been on both BBC and ITV.

Sit down before you read this...

Per Mark Pougatch on the ITV highlights, Denmark v. England will be exclusively on ITV/STV on Wednesday from 19:00 with highlights at 22:45 on Tuesday of Italy v. Spain.

We knew it was all a green screen, but I wonder if presenting in such an environment takes a bit of getting used to, surely all that bright green must be quite overpowering at first if you were used to proper sets

Point of order.... just because it's being shown via IP rather than via traditional TV doesn't make it non-linear.

Hopefully a lot of those who had problems are going out today to buy some aerial leads?

Some of the pre made aerial leads make fantastic attenuators. Years ago the BBC did some tests, and discovered some reduced the signal by over 10dB. A properly made 1 metre long cable (using CT100 co-ax) should only introduce a loss of a fraction of a dB

No figures yet for BBC Sport website or iplayer but excellent none the less

5.2m on iPlayer

The morning after is always numberwang, with reporters or commentators picking out peaks or whole programme averages.

The only important figure is the total match average, not the before and after.

The iPlayer is also not weighted as far as I'm aware. So was that a constant 5.2 million streaming the match, was that peak stream?

I believe its also the case that some iplayer streams are included in BARB numbers, so you can't just add them together

Most tabloids take the peak number and round it up to the nearest 10m anyway!

A lot of people replying to that saying they're looking forward to Clive and Ally on commentary are in for some disappointment.

In 2002 I remember the Denmark game was on BBC and Brazil on ITV. Definitely not on both channels. Not wanting to argue.

If ITV had any sense, it would be Clive & Ally. They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel if Sam bloody Matterface is the best they can do! I'll be watching the pictures, but listening to R5L...even if the radio is a little ahead of the tv.
