They can’t just delay putting new idents out every time something bad is happening. There is always something awful going on. I would say they'll start airing them whenever they're ready, regardless of what's happening at that time

Yeah, there's only one reason to delay them once they're ready, and that's if we have a major royal death again, which would result in generic non-channel specific idents being used when they're not on rolling news coverage, as we saw with Prince Philip. But hopefully we're a few years away from that happening and the new look will have long since launched.

No, the regions opted back to a frozen image from a Peaky Blinders trail, with the BBC logo not fully formed up. Then after 10 seconds or so it cut to another trail.

Must admit I thought we would have seen something by now, we’re now 5 months on from when they were supposed to debut. Fingers crossed it’s this half of the year.

I don't mind waiting, to be honest. If they're taking their time to ensure the finished product is of good quality, then that's fine by me.
We all recall how rushed and suboptimal the two original Oneness idents looked when they first launched in January 2017. One would hope that lessons have been learned from this.
I think one or two forum members had been suggesting a March launch, which has now inadvertently ended up creating disappointment amongst some that we're still waiting.

For an organisation which updates just half of its Radio logos, and then only half updates them, I don’t think logic comes into it.
I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised when the new BBC One idents launch they still use the Oneness ones alongside them. Maybe even throw a balloon and a mirror globe in now and again with /B /B /C / logos.
