They'll probably keep it on the site until the end of the week.

I'd be very surprised if all regions went HD on the same day - usually such technical roll outs would be on a staggered basis.

At least we're now getting BBC One HD regions. All we need now is for Channel 4 to have HD versions for all the LEMNUS regions and Virgin will have the HD versions of all the main 5 channels on 101-105, rather than having to go to 141 for 4HD.

I do wonder if the BBC finally getting their house in order when it comes to presentation (fingers crossed) will spill out into the wider industry as well and see a sleuth of rebrands in the next couple of years.
It is difficult to compare to 1997 but the ITV hearts did look like a reaction to the BBC balloon in the wish to create a unifying symbol for all the regions.

21st October? What a nice late birthday present that is. In all seriousness though, the new blocks look fine as it is, its the surrounding package that will 100% define it. And from whats been teased the Beeb has finally evolved its presentation to something much more modern and eyecatching.
Also thank goodness Oneness is being nuked, it was already known for being a poorly executed presentation package but the pandemic completely turned head on its suitability for use. The rest of the 5 main channels have had decent to fantastic presentation currently, its just BBC One that is the final piece of the puzzle.
Lastly, itll be interesting to see what they have in store for BBC Four. Its well overdue a new look by this stage

As some other people, I think the BBC iPlayer brand is quite dated, especially the "I" part, of course.
I don't know how to change, but something that could focus more on BBC would be nicer.
Overall, in the current world where OTT is the norm, I find all that "iPlayer" thing unnecessary.
Traditions change, not necessarily everything successful has to stay the same, it'll take time for people to memorize the new name, but in the end, it pays off.
I think All 4 is better than 4OD, anyway. "OD" is more restrictive, as iPlayer is
I also don't like the pink theme of iPlayer at all, especially since it's also used by Three.
