Because judging by the comments about them being a mix of live-action and CGI, and not making any idents for the regions, I personally think it would be better to return to a central symbol and no live-action whatsoever. But I doubt that’ll happen.
You do realize by wishing for them to be cancelled we'd be stuck with Oneness right?? You're playing with fire here.

I’d rather we had Oneness for a little longer and they get the new ones right rather than launch with another substandard “things happening and people doing stuff with a logo over the top” set of idents.

Exactly what I was thinking. Surely you can’t judge until you’ve seen them. You’re basically saying that it’s impossible to mix live action and graphics successfully.

True, I’d just be extremely surprised if they did manage to be the idents most of us hope them to be.

I wonder whether the format of the Shaun The Sheep festive idents was indicative of what the delayed new regular idents consist of?
By which I mean the same gradual curving right-to-left camera movement, keeping the new circle/orb symbol (which would presumably be the CGI element within the live action scene) in a steady central position like the Christmas tree was.

In that case, that probably explains the limited number of Gawpingness™ idents that have been adapted and kept for the interim.
None of the indoor ones have been kept (I do miss seeing the ginger bloke in the Drone Racers one
), and the selection of outdoor ones still being used are presumably those which are the closest to being like the delayed new look.

I’d always assumed the Christmas idents hadn’t been designed with the new look in mind given the way the BBC logo clashed with the top of the tree, but with space where the old BBC One logo used to sit.
Interesting theory though that the new idents might all be shot outside. If that’s the case I wonder if we’ll have a longer wait for the additional ones to be made. Shooting them outside in the middle of winter with a lack of daylight, and rubbish weather isn’t ideal either from an aesthetic or logistical point of view. I wouldn’t be surprised if they wait until Spring to record them.

Honestly, at this point, I've gotten so sick of Oneness that I'd rather them play the generic ident or the dancer idents (or the C4 shaman ident) every junction.
Hopefully the Christmas idents are indicative of what is to come. They were wonderful.
