I never knew this happened! And very surprised it never cropped up on any of the show’s “best of” or goodbye montages. Its two highest regarded (and rated) male hosts on screen together. Nice find.

Amazing- yes never knew this happened. It’s like The Big Breakfast equivalent of the scene in HEAT where Pacino and DeNiro finally share screen time! That it took nearly 30 years to see this (I have no recollection from the time), and nearly 20 years since the show finished, makes this clip all the more curious!

Although it's probably the one feature which spanned all eras of the show didn't think they'd bring it back just for one day but glad they are, and the family can then be used for a few things throughout the show.
Was hoping the T&Cs might give a hint towards the exact date and filming location, but neither are mentioned.

I think it’s just lifted from a property listing last time the house was put up for sale actually. But as far as I can see, the logo is new isn’t it?
I don’t think we can read too much into a hastily thrown together ad like this (especially when the language hasn’t even been proof-read: “The Big Breakfast needs you”, surely?) but it could be quite telling that they’ve purposely used imagery of the house. It doesn’t come up in generic Big Breakfast searches, so it’s like they’ve gone out of their way to search for that specifically as a background when they didn’t actually need anything more than just the logo or maybe some generic breakfast items as a background image.

Will be interesting to see what they go for presentation wise. Much will depend on if they use the house or not - it's down to £4.6m now if anyone wins the Lotto jackpot tonight. I suspect it'll probably be something closer to the original titles than the Johnny Vaughan era.

Though to be fair the logo behind that image of the house does look very bright and breakfasty!
All we need is Harry on piano to play us out at the end. But would there be much to sing about in a topical song like that in the current climate and during a pandemic?

The Friday Song without Johnny and Denise was never quite right.
Any thoughts on what other features they should revive for the day. I think Invention Corner could fit the Black to Front initiative really well, showcasing up and coming UK inventors.

No, leave fashion to Lorraine. They need to concentrate on the sort of features you don't see elsewhere.
I suspect a competition will get an outing too, even if it is only played by people "in the house". Wonga is an obvious time filler, but an outing for one of the classics would be nice too.
