I never said Alison is secondary to Dermot! Since when does length of service mean you'll get named first? I just thought the "Dermot & Alison" titles would follow the other versions of the titles.
Branding and having a brand is about consistency is it not?

Alphabetical order?
Bearing in mind that two of the three examples go against this when considering presenters' forenames, and one of the three examples goes against this when considering presenters' surnames, I think we can safely assume that alphabetical order plays little to no part in the ordering of the names.
Seniority (in terms of who's been on the show for the longest time) makes sense in terms of Philip & Holly and Alison & Dermot, I suppose, but that could be coincidental.
I think, ultimately, the order doesn't really matter any more than, say, who sits on the left and who sits on the right on the sofa, and they may not have put as much thought into whose name came first on the titles as people here might be assuming.

Working for a company (or TV show in this case) for 20 years doesn’t mean you should be treated differently to someone who’s been there for 20 weeks, when they’re doing exactly the same job, with the same job title!
Besides, despite her being there for 20 years, she is quite new to this particular role within the company - and it’s a role requiring skills that he has more experience in than her anyway!
So neither of them is surely considered more ‘senior’, and I doubt her name appearing higher than his on the opening titles has anything to do with management being concerned that she may be seen as ‘secondary’.

Some of the early This Morning's actually credited Judy first. Don't know if it's to do with how they are sitting, whether because Judy was better known when TM started (not even sure if that is true!), or experimenting https://www.tvark.org/?page=media&mediaid=66294
FWIW, I think it's just because "Alison and Dermot" rolls off the tongue easier than "Dermot and Alison"
