on weekends they would read off a weather summary off the teleprompter . they used to have a presenter on weekends

They have finally changed the script on the ITV Wales lunchtime bulletin when the presenter tells us what time the evening bulletin is on. For 2 weeks regardless of whether there was football on in the afternoon/early evening the presenter would still say we'll be back with Wales at Six after The Chase.

Worth noting that the main press conference of Mark Drakeford was this week at 17:15 on Wednesday rather than 12:15 on Friday. BBC One Wales had a Wales Today special as standard for the press conference that had the same format of previous press conference programmes with context from a reporter in the studio before the FM started (today Felicity Evans), the press conference including the first half dozen or so questions beforereturning to the sudio for the final 10-15 minutes to hear from Felicity and two oppsoition politicians remotely.
Pointless was relegated to BBC Two Wales this evening in its place. I guess this time slot may become standard over the next few weeks with Olympics coverage dominating the lunchtime schedules and the BBC News at One at midday each day (at least in week one). The only issue is that this might clash with potential press briefings from Westminster but hardly a major issue generally as these often don't affect Wales.

Good to see Newsweek Wales has returned and this time its airing on a Saturday when previously it was a Sunday, although no episode this Saturday.
It also means we get a short lunchtime bulletin when Newsweek airs, something which has been missed at weekends I think since ITV decided to scrap them.
