Prince Philip has Died - London Lite - 09-04-2021 Obit news at 12.30 on Global stations. The delivery of the presenter sounds forced rather than sombre. Prince Philip has Died - Ant - 09-04-2021 It all seemed quite abrupt on Radio 1 and Radio 2. Certainly for Radio 2 it didn't sound like Vanessa Feltz knew she was going to be interrupted - she was still giving out the text number when she was cut off. Prince Philip has Died - VMPhil - 09-04-2021 Nicholas Witchell is in the studio now (was on the phone earlier) Prince Philip has Died - Rolling News - 09-04-2021 The screens in Studio E behind Nick are black with the Royal logo on them. Prince Philip has Died - UTVLifer - 09-04-2021 Special graphics in Studio E on the screens behind Nicholas Witchell Prince Philip has Died - Omnipresent - 09-04-2021 Live TV coverage from ABC News in Australia: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-04-09/prince-philip-dead-live-queen-duke-of-edinburgh-royal-family/8496436 Prince Philip has Died - Meridian MR - 09-04-2021 Moz post_id=4001 time=1617967888 user_id=746 Wrote:Would have been a nice touch if the BBC had ditched the usual red breaking news graphics and made them black. Yes. ITV News using grey name Astons. Look good. Prince Philip has Died - william - 09-04-2021 It's interesting all the stations you thought might not have bothered to do anything which are simulcasting etc. The BBC radio simulcast is going pretty well. I'm guessing it was a case of switching all networks at once in the BH control room. World Service are doing their own thing but everybody else, including 5 Live Sports Extra and all local stations, are taking it. If not fully cleared, heavily changed but I reckon the former of the two. Prince Philip has Died - dbl - 09-04-2021 UKTV channels (Gold, Dave, alibi, Yesterday etc etc...) are on sombre mode, continuity, adverts & promos are dropped and replaced with a UKTV animated slide loop with music. As per BBC procedures Prince Philip has Died - what - 09-04-2021 Because of the clocks changing, and this site still being an hour behind, I went back to 11:10 on iPlayer to try and capture it! RIP. Channel4 interrupted around 27mins past the hour and went live to Channel 4 news. Prince Philip has Died - Multi - 09-04-2021 Heart radio continued until quarter past, followed by an announcement, special report, national anthem and now some sombre music starting with Adele. Prince Philip has Died - itsrobert - 09-04-2021 Probably too early for this but does anyone have a recording of how ITN handled the initial announcement on ITV? I was watching BBC News at the time so didn't see it. Prince Philip has Died - gottago - 09-04-2021 Doing live rewind on iPlayer, BBC Alba managed to join the news report from the black and white caption, BBC Scotland made a hash of it with a BBC News Scotland holding animation before a crashing into a few promos and then eventually joining BBC News. Not that it really matters, no one would have been watching. S4C doesn't seem to have done anything yet. |
