It all seemed quite abrupt on Radio 1 and Radio 2. Certainly for Radio 2 it didn't sound like Vanessa Feltz knew she was going to be interrupted - she was still giving out the text number when she was cut off.

It's interesting all the stations you thought might not have bothered to do anything which are simulcasting etc.
The BBC radio simulcast is going pretty well. I'm guessing it was a case of switching all networks at once in the BH control room. World Service are doing their own thing but everybody else, including 5 Live Sports Extra and all local stations, are taking it.

UKTV channels (Gold, Dave, alibi, Yesterday etc etc...) are on sombre mode, continuity, adverts & promos are dropped and replaced with a UKTV animated slide loop with music. As per BBC procedures

Doing live rewind on iPlayer, BBC Alba managed to join the news report from the black and white caption, BBC Scotland made a hash of it with a BBC News Scotland holding animation before a crashing into a few promos and then eventually joining BBC News. Not that it really matters, no one would have been watching.
S4C doesn't seem to have done anything yet.
