I think putting them on a stool in the corner does look a bit awkward, unless they’re a musical guest about to give a performance from the same spot.

I can only view via YouTube due to my location. LW would usually post 4 segments per day on YT. Now we are lucky if they post even one 8min segment per day.
Anyway, I actually came here to say that I’ve noticed the camera work has improved a lot lately. They’re making great use of the jib for some quite creative shots. And the set has been extended on both sides (to the left of Kaye as we look at it, and to the right of the 4th panelist as we look at it).
The three members of Atomic Kitten appeared on Friday. The biggest number we’ve seen in the studio simultaneously since before the pandemic.

In an already depleted summer line-up, Carol McGiffin and Gloria Hunniford are holidaying in their homes in France. And will now have to quarantine upon return.
Two gaps in the line up. Meridien_am and I might be in with a chance after all!

It's Kaye, Brenda, Janet and Colleen tomorrow.
Jane was on holiday last week and was back on the panel today, along with Colleen, Charlene and Denise. Charlene, Kaye and Nadia aren't on vacation and are still around to do the anchoring role.
I used to like Kate Thornton on LW.

Blast from the past.By my count there is least four gaps in the line-up, as also Ruth is on This Morning duty all summer and Christine Lampard is sharing Lorraine hosting duties with Ranvir Singh, and Ranvir will no doubt probably do some holiday cover on GMB so she could probably be ruled out from guest anchoring LW.

Kaye Adams has stepped back from her BBC Radio Scotland commitments for a few months and will be the main Loose Women anchor through the summer, in the absence of Ruth.
I’ve spotted some more minor tweaks to the set. There’s now a vertical (static/illuminated) strip to the left of Jane Moore as we look towards the screen.
The podium is also intriguing (not of Miss Marple standards, mind you). Again, often to the right of Jane (as we look at it), there is very clearly a segment of the podium with a clear joint in it. On other days, that joint is not there, yet the podium size remains the same throughout. At first, I just thought they’d covered the joint with the purple carpet and in other days, they’d run out of time and couldn’t dress it quite so well.
I wonder how long it takes to de-shutter Lorraine and build the LW set every day. As far as I can see, there are zero elements of either programme used in the other.
