Prince Philip has Died - London Lite - 09-04-2021 ITV Anglia opener. https://youtu.be/q2UHtWKS9io Prince Philip has Died - LoganStuff - 09-04-2021 London Lite post_id=4648 time=1617990722 user_id=953 Wrote:ITV Anglia opener.Still not a fan of how that ITV slide looks. Understandable that they have to use something dark and somber to reflect the mood, but it's quite illegible and hard to read, would work better if the background was a lighter grey. Prince Philip has Died - James Martin - 09-04-2021 Not sure I agree with just yanking BBC Four off air entirely. I'd have used it as an "alternative" to cater for those license fee payers who need a distraction, particularly in depressing enough times already. A mashup of the planned BBC One and Two schedules could have gone there, for example. Same with ITV2, the soaps and some other stuff could have gone out there. Even Diana didn't get Corrie pulled (being in the era of the Sunday episode) and Emmerdale still went on on 9/11, which both had "developing" aspects to their stories unlike the sad passing of a very old gentleman who's been poorly for a while. Never heard it before. I'll have to keep an eye out if any regions or the bulletins use it. Considering how upbeat the usual titles are (and also the fact Midlands Today has people dancing in it, which makes me chuckle) I'd say it's quite likely. Prince Philip has Died - Richard - 09-04-2021 I see that the Wales vs Canada women’s football friendly is on iPlayer. Was it supposed to be on TV before the Duke of Edinburgh’s death was announced? Just watching the NI vs Ukraine qualifying match on the Red Button and they’ve just put up a scrolling banner at the top of the screen saying they will shortly be switching to the Wales match. Prince Philip has Died - itsrobert - 09-04-2021 ITV special with Julie Etchingham and Phillip Schofield coming on air now. Very sombre theme music and being presented from ITN from the ITV News studio. Prince Philip has Died - Josh - 09-04-2021 BBC Four showing this slide:
Prince Philip has Died - DanielK - 09-04-2021 ITV special from the ITV News studio. Looks like the election 'cube' coffee table has been put out. Prince Philip has Died - BBI45 - 09-04-2021 I'll start off by sending my condolences to the Queen, and all the royal family at this sad time. I know I'm jumping in late with this point (the news broke as I was arriving at work), but the announcement on BBC Radio all seems a bit unexpected. I understand that the news might have come through quite suddenly (given how every broadcaster was caught slightly on the back foot), but it seems that Global and Bauer all managed to make the switch over to the news much more seamless. Listening back, even Newstalk ZB in New Zealand seemed to do a better job. Looks like the election 'cube' coffee table has been put out.I thought it would come from ITN rather than the GMB studio. ITN are responsible for news output outside of the breakfast slot. Having Mary at Buckingham Palace obviously helped with the transition in the studio as sofas have been brought in. Prince Philip has Died - Brekkie - 09-04-2021 The ITV News set proving it's flexibility. Also good that ITV's three main news presenters are getting significant airtime today. Prince Philip has Died - dbl - 09-04-2021 BBC Four slide
Prince Philip has Died - WolfieVII - 09-04-2021 I have to say, I approve of the special ITV News titles (both regional and national). Would they have had those ready for weeks/months? Or could those have been put together in a few hours? Prince Philip has Died - Whataday - 09-04-2021 I stand corrected. The live Schofe/Julie programme coming from a nicely adapted ITV News studio rather than TVC. ![]() It looks great with a sofa. If they ever want to replace GMB... |
