I’m still puzzled as to why those aren’t all prefixed with ‘BBC’. “Follow on News” without any kind of word mark or logo just looks on. “Follow on BBC News” is immediately understandable and puts BBC front and centre. Isn’t that what this rebrand was supposed to do?
Of all those sub -brands, it’s really only iPlayer and (for it’s target audience) Bitesize that make sense without the term ‘BBC’ before. Even with iPlayer, I’ve heard people use it as a generic term for a catch-up site, much like ‘Hoover’ for vacuum cleaner.
Very much agree. It’s not like the BBC have the monopoly on the words NEWS and SPORT, and even with the colour the meaning to me is very limited.

One of my pet hates is when people put multiple signs up for the same thing. Like pub toilets which have a GENTS sign with a man symbol underneath.
The thinking is the more signs I put up the more obvious the message will be - but actually it’s the opposite: too many signs and people ignore them all.
I think the BBC was going down that route with its constant repetition of “BBC” - now on BBC One the BBC News. Well obviously! I wasn’t expecting Sky News on BBC One!!!
So for me, pare it back, mention BBC once and well and don’t repeat it.
I’d have a rule if it was me - only one BBC on screen at any one time.

I completely agree. One of the worst offenders for this is at the end of the Network news bulletins, often signed off like this:
"That's all from the BBC News at Six. It's goodbye from me, and on BBC One, we can join the BBC's News teams where you are."
Only one of those BBC's (probably the mention for BBC One) is necessary.

It's appearing for me too, on desktop.
If it doesn't appear for you, I'd recommend you clear your cache, either by pressing CTRL + F5 on the page, or going through your browser's settings and doing it manually.

Not sure the slogans do the rebrand any favours, especially when they seem to be just for the sake of having them across all the sub-brands. Some come across as if they've been through Google Translate.

My Uncle has been saying this for years. What would you recommend as an alternative? If it were me: 'And with that, that's the end of the News at Six. Sportsday follows on the BBC News Channel, but on One, we hand over to the news from around the UK'
